SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GROOM AT HOME.

I don’t know about your pooch but every time mine come back from the groomer I’ve got another phobia to re-train out of Stanley. Steffi seems to weather the storm and is content to simply glare at me until she gets a treat to help her forget the ignominy of having her privates handled by a stranger.

Not so, Stanley. He must give the groomer a problem because it is almost impossible to touch his head or any place around his body other than his back for several days after I bring him home.

The groomer we have used is well recommended, of patient temperament and well qualified and I can’t find out what it is that Stanley doesn’t like. Maybe he is just a timid soul who hates any one to touch him. This is odd because he is the Omega dog in this family and completely subservient to his sister.

So we are going to try doing it at home and the instructions we are going to follow come substantiated by enough folks who have tried them to make me think it will be okay.

If you should happen to follow up on this as a solution as I am I’d appreciate getting your thoughts.
